Babcock Center, Inc. is seeking an Employment Specialist to support adults with developmental disabilities in pursuing competitive employment. The role emphasizes learning each applicant's vocational desires and providing tailored supports to help them achieve meaningful work goals.

The specialist will coordinate interviews, develop resumes, and assist with transportation and scheduling needs, while maintaining required records and collaborating with family, staff, and community partners.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
• Reliable transportation.
• Attention to detail and timely completion of duties.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid 3-year driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Learn vocational desires, goals and needs of applicants and ensure active participation in employment planning.
• Provide and document individualized supports to achieve vocational outcomes.
• Assist with pre-employment, on-the-job training, job coaching and retention services.
• Coordinate interviews, starting dates and transportation needs for applicants.
• Maintain records (Therap, DDSN billing, placement data) and serve as a liaison with employers and community partners.
• Support strategic planning and collaboration with other agencies to grow job opportunities.
