Successful completion of OFSM Fire Service Instructor II isrequired, as well as certification in the course(s) taught. Abachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience ispreferred.

The qualified candidate for the Fire Services Instructor role willbe responsible for teaching curriculum for the Fire ServicesTraining program to meet and exceed the requirements outlined inthe Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM). Instructionwill include adherence to defined course topics and outcomes forthe following courses:
The instructor will be responsible for classroom presentations,activities, and projects, and will manage instructional materials,student attendance, and mandatory submission of grades andsuccessful course completions.
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) at Harper College offersnon-transferable credit courses in career development, publicservice, business, computer training and health care. CPE coursesare short-term training and are typically completed within onesemester.
