Job summary

The Fedcap Group is seeking a Vocational Evaluation Supervisor in New York to lead the Vocational Evaluation team and manage IVAP processes. You will assess client work skills, readiness, and potential through aptitude and achievement testing at the program site, guiding referrals and program improvements.

Responsibilities include developing new assessments, mentoring staff, ensuring data accuracy, and coordinating with other departments to support clients' career readiness and success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation, vocational education, psychology, or education or the equivalent in a related field.
• Current CRC credentials from the Commission on CRC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops, and implements new assessments, measures, and report formats.
• Mentors, coaches, and trains staff as needed.
• Supervise measurement and recording of client responses and assess work-related skills and habits.
• Oversee development of IVAPs including referrals and job search activities.
• Review and sign off on IVAPs and adjust as needed.
• Identify staff training needs and ensure training.
• Ensure compliance with NYC HRA terms and conditions.
• Prepare and submit statistical data and reports on time.
• Implement internal controls for policy compliance.
• Conduct case conferences with other WeCARE departments as needed.
• Hire, supervise, evaluate, develop, and terminate staff as required.

What You'll Do

• Researches, develops, and implements new assessments, measures, and report formats to meet the needs of the agency and varying disability populations.
• Mentors, coaches, and assists in the training of other staff members as necessary.
• Supervise the measurement and recording of client responses to motivational techniques and criticism, as well as organizational ability, perseverance, attendance, punctuality, flexibility, interpersonal skills, work habits and communication skills.
• Oversee the development of Individualized Vocational Assessment Plans (IVAP), including education and vocational training referrals, Community Services referrals, and appropriate job search activities, based on the results of the IVAP assessments and other medical, mental health, substance abuse and psychosocial assessments.
• Review and sign off on Individualized Vocational Assessment Plans while making recommendations for adjustments
• Identify vocational evaluation staff training needs and ensures training is obtained.
• Provides oversight to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the NYC Human Resources Administration.
• Ensures that all required statistical data and reports are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
• Implements internal controls to confirm that work and production are consistent with regular policies, procedures, and practices.
• Case conference with other WeCARE departments and staff members on an as needed basis, including Case Managers, Work Readiness Facilitators, Job Prep and Placement Coordinators, and Community Service Specialists.
• Hires, supervises, evaluates, develops, and terminates assigned staff to ensure staff is productive and motivated.

• Bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation, vocational education, psychology, or education or the equivalent in a related field.
• Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor credentials from the Commission on Certified Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.
• Bi-lingual (English Spanish) candidates preferred.

Compensation

$75,000-$80,000 annually
