Job summary

The Fedcap Group is seeking a Vocational Evaluator in New York City to assess abilities and develop employment plans for participants in vocational rehabilitation services.

You will manage caseloads, interview participants, administer and score assessments, and document outcomes in FedcapCARES and SEAMS. Strong communication skills and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, vocational education, psychology, or education (or related field).
• Strong testing, labor market trends, and vocational systems knowledge.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload to ensure timely delivery of vocational evaluation and employment planning services.
• Interview participants to understand employment, education, and training backgrounds.
• Administer and score assessments to evaluate vocational interests, aptitudes, strengths, and functional limitations.
• Measure and document participant responses to motivational strategies and workplace behavior.
• Develop employment plans that align with assessment results and additional psychosocial and medical data.
• Participate in case conferences with internal service providers as needed.
• Document services and outcomes in FedcapCARES and HRA’s SEAMS system.
• Prepare IVAP reports with recommended activities and employment goals.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
