The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Vocational Evaluator for the Greenville VR/IL Unit to assess and plan services for individuals with disabilities. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, prepare reports, and coordinate with counselors and partners to support placement and employment goals.
The position requires travel within Pitt and Lenoir counties, strong data interpretation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

This Vocational Evaluator position is located in the Greenville VR/IL Unit Office and provides vocational evaluation services primarily to individuals with disabilities referrals for these evaluation services are from VR counselors assigned to the unit and school offices across Pitt and Lenoir counties. The selected candidate provides comprehensive vocational evaluation assessments for persons with a range of disabilities, education levels, and work experience in order to assist with job planning and placement.

Salary Range: $39,244.00-$68,679.00 Recruitment Range: $39,244.00-$61,320.00

Master’s degree in vocational evaluation, rehabilitation counseling, or closely related human services field from an appropriately accredited institution; OR Bachelor’s degree in vocational evaluation, rehabilitation counseling, OR a closely related human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
