Odyssey House in New York is seeking a Vocational Counselor (CRC) to help clients obtain education, vocational skills, and employment. You will work with the interdisciplinary clinical team across locations in Lower Manhattan, Bronx, Harlem, and Ward's Island.

Requirements include a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling with CRC certification preferred and 3 years of rehabilitation services experience. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; a flexible schedule is expected.

Formación

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience applying vocational assessments and TABE testing.
• Knowledge of NYS vocational services is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Formulate a vocational profile for assigned clients in certified programs.
• Assist clients in developing realistic short- and long-term vocational goals.
• Administer and interpret vocational and interest tests to assess progress.
• Serve as liaison with NYS Vocational and Educational Services and NYC DOE (off-site).
• Present compiled vocational data to treatment staff and participate in meetings.
• Lead discussion groups on vocational awareness and job-search skills.
• Maintain resident charts and documentation with accuracy.
• Coordinate with supervisors on job function assessments and appraisals.
• Prepare proposals and reports; attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Engage in quality improvement activities.

Conocimientos

MS Office proficiency

Educación

Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling

CRC certification preferred

3 years' experience in rehabilitation services
