Anchor House in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Vocational Counselor to support residents in OASAS-certified programs. You will formulate vocational profiles, administer tests, and coordinate with ACCES-VR and NYC Education Services to set realistic goals.
Requires a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling (CRC), a CASAC credential, and at least two years’ residential experience. Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook; English/Spanish bilingual a plus; flexible schedule including weekends.
Qualificações
- Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling required.
- CASAC credential required.
- Two+ years of experience in residential/vocational services preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook required.
- English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.
Responsabilidades
- Formulate a vocational profile for residents in OASAS-certified programs, including TABE testing and a comprehensive vocational assessment.
- Assist clients in developing realistic short- and long-term vocational goals.
- Administer and interpret vocational and interest tests to determine achievements and aptitudes.
- Coordinate with ACCES-VR and NYC Dept. of Education for off-site services and follow up.
