Job summary

S:US in New York City is seeking an Employment Specialist for their adult families shelter in Manhattan. The role provides vocational services, conducts assessment interviews, designs and facilitates vocational groups, and maintains a data bank of employment information as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Evening hours are required; an Associate degree is required with a Bachelor’s preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. In-person work at E.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with federal, state and local laws as they apply to the community residence program.
• Provides vocational services as part of a multi-disciplinary team; visits clients in their home and other settings.
• Identifies barriers to employment and collaborates with the case manager to design plans.
• Maintains monthly employment status data and supports workforce initiatives and meetings.
