Candidates should have strong organizational skills and at least two years of medical billing experience. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in medical billing, preferably with orthotics or prosthetics.
• Experience with HIPAA regulations and Medicare and insurance carrier websites.
• Minimum typing of 45 wpm; Excellent ten-key skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance verifications and authorizations for orthotic and prosthetic devices.
• Communicate accurate benefits to patients or applicable customers.
• Process all authorization requests for patients across offices.
