Qualifications
2 years of insurance verification and prior authorization experience, preferably in orthotics or prosthetics.
Experience with HIPAA regulations and Medicare.
Ability to communicate changes in insurance requirements to management.
Responsibilities
Perform insurance verifications and authorizations for devices.
Collaborate with team members on insurance coverage requirements.
Communicate benefits to patients and collect co-insurance when possible.
Process authorization requests via phone or online portals.
Create and manage patient account profiles in the Medical Record system.
