Didactic Nursing Instructor – Vocational Nursing Program

Part‑time Employment Type
Hourly Pay Range: $35–45/hr
Positions Available: 3 (AM and PM shifts)
- 1st Position – Monday AM
- 2nd Position – Friday AM
- 3rd Position – Monday/Wednesday PM
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned classes in a didactic setting in person at the Modesto Campus
- Collaborate with didactic and clinical faculty for program development
- Support the Campus Director and Nursing Program Coordinator with program organization and implementation of standards
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge in medical education and ensure continuous medical education requirements at the facility are met
Required Qualifications
- Must meet BVNPT requirements for faculty candidates, including holding a Bachelor’s degree for LVN and RN
- Instructor must be currently attending or have completed a teaching course offered by an approved school
- Meet one of the following qualification pathways:
Registered Nurse Pathway
- Hold a current active California Registered Nurse license
- Have a baccalaureate degree from an approved school, or a valid teaching credential, or minimum one year full‑time teaching experience in a state‑approved nursing or psychiatric technician school within last five years, or meet California community college or state university teaching requirements
- Have at least two years nursing experience (registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse) within the last five years
Licensed Vocational Nurse Pathway
- Hold a current active California Vocational Nurse license
- Have a baccalaureate degree from an approved school, or a valid teaching credential, or minimum one year full‑time teaching experience in a state‑approved nursing or psychiatric technician school within last five years, or meet California community college or state university teaching requirements
- Have at least two years vocational nursing experience within the last five years
