Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Systems Administrator to support Air Force Intel System in San Antonio, TX. This on-site role requires TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience with Windows environments, VMware ESXi, and network security.

You will maintain, monitor, and document system operations, implement SOPs, and collaborate with support teams to resolve issues while ensuring high availability and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE and MS-102 or LFCS
• Experience as a system administrator in a mid to large Windows environment
• Experience with Active Directory
• Experience installing software on Windows Servers
• Experience troubleshooting in a Windows environment
• Developing standard operating procedures for system functions
• General understanding of network tools (Infoblox, SolarWinds)
• Strong Linux administrator background
• Experience with ESXi environments (patching, deploying VMs)
• Understanding of High-Availability, vMotion, and DVS
• Backup management of vSphere infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains smooth operation of computer systems in networked or stand-alone configurations
• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Provide regular monitoring and analysis for in-house systems planning
• Prepare or ensure documentation exists, including operational instructions
• Write or modify scripts to resolve performance problems and automate tasks
• Recommend changes to improve system configurations and determine hardware or software requirements
