Job summary

eNGINE is seeking a VMware Engineer to lead upgrades and strategic initiatives in a large-scale virtualization environment in Pittsburgh, PA. This on-site role focuses on VMware Aria, SRM, and vCenter, with visibility across the organization and a mandate to improve uptime and security.

You will administer and upgrade VMware stacks, drive patches, document performance metrics, and partner with infrastructure teams on enterprise projects. Preferred certifications include VCP and MCSA.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise-scale VMware experience with 50+ ESXi hosts.
• Deep knowledge of VMware Aria Suite, SRM, and vCenter.
• Experience with security patching and virtualization strategy.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and upgrade VMware environments, including vCenter, Aria, SRM, and vReps.
• Lead patching, remediation, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the VMware stack.
• Partner with other infrastructure team members to maintain enterprise stability.
• Participate in strategic planning and document infrastructure performance metrics.
• Drive or support VMware-specific projects and rollouts.
