MatchPoint Solutions in Dallas, TX is seeking a VMware Administrator for a 12-month engagement onsite. You will administer and troubleshoot large-scale VMware environments, ensuring VM performance, availability, and operational stability.

Responsibilities include diagnosing CPU/memory/storage/network issues, performing migrations, coordinating with application and infra teams, and generating reports with vROps.

Qualificações

• Diagnose and resolve VM performance issues across CPU, memory, storage, and network.
• Investigate and resolve virtualization-related incidents and outages.
• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage cold and live migrations, snapshots, and cloning activities.
• Manage storage vMotion as part of storage lifecycle operations.
• Knowledge of DRS, vSphere HA, and DR concepts.
• Conduct RCA and recommend preventive actions.
• Generate operational and performance reports using vROps.
• Handle vCenter authorization and authentication issues.
• Support ITIL processes including Change, Incident and Problem management.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate across teams with strong communication skills.
• Work with application teams to correlate hypervisor metrics with OS/application metrics.
• Provide insights to improve VM placement, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
• Ability to work independently in a high-availability 24x7 production environment.

Pay rate: $50 - $55/hr on W2

Responsible for administering and troubleshooting large-scale VMware environments, ensuring VM performance, availability, and operational stability. The role involves deep analysis of virtualization issues, lifecycle operations, migrations, troubleshooting performance issues, automation of routine tasks, and collaboration with other stakeholders.

Preferred skills and experience

• Exposure to scripting for bulk operations (PowerCLI, PowerShell)
• Experience with banking or other critical production environment.
• Understanding of ITIL framework and operational workflows.
• Self-driven with strong analytical, ownership and learning mindset.
• VMware certifications preferred.
