Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to assist plants and purchasing in monitoring, managing, and maintaining overall VMI inventory levels. You will work closely with buyers to run reports and answer questions about inventory.

Responsibilities include investigating discrepancies, coordinating with vendors, updating records, and supporting special projects as needed. Strong Excel/Outlook skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of inventory control experience.
• Familiar with inventory controls and procedures.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of lumber math, grades, and species.
• Understanding of company policies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain all plant VMI programs with buyers and plants.
• Run inventory reports and answer inventory questions.
• Communicate with vendor contacts and facilitate their needs.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and notify plants and vendors.
• Maintain vendor price maintenance tables and records.
• Update VMI and cash contract records.
• Prepare reports and correspondence as required.
• Process import payables and share backup receptionist duties.
• Perform other duties as directed.
