Job summary

Swartz Creek Community School District seeks a Math Teacher for 6th–8th and 9th–12th grade students. Instruction will occur in person and online, with responsibilities including managing online content and collaborating with life coaches and interventionists.

Qualifications

REPORTS TO: Director of VLC

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday During Conference Period & 113 work days.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute of higher education.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (secondary). Certification must be in 6-12 Math
• Must possess the ability to deliver effective classroom instruction and management
• Must possess a strong desire to work with students and their parents
• Must possess a willingness to work as part of a building team for the improvement of instruction
• Must possess a willingness to adapt to continuous change
• Must possess excellent communication skills when engaging with students, parents, and colleagues
• Knowledge of or previous work with online curriculum is preferred
• Punctual, regular, & consistent attendance is required.
• Serve as Teacher of Record.
