Job summary

Contec Inc. in Spartanburg, SC seeks a reliable operator to run glue station equipment for glued and unglued mop production. You will read drawings, complete shop orders, and ensure safety and quality at every step.

You will inspect finished products, manage materials, and participate in regular training to support ISO 9001-2015 compliance and Contec’s quality goals. This role requires teamwork and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to utilize glue station equipment to manufacture mops both glued and unglued for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Meets regular and reliable work-site attendance requirements in order to perform the job and meet productivity standards.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and travelers for production orders.
• Completes production paperwork.
• Ability to operate the stations equipment.
• Ability to know and understand how to operate and trouble shoot glue station equipment.
• Understanding and following proper safety procedures on the glue stations.
• Perform quality inspection/measurements for each shop order.
• Gathering and loading of the necessary raw materials needed to complete the shop order.
• Participates in periodic training programs regarding safety, product specifications; quality; and operation.
• Participates and works within ISO 9001-2015 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec's quality goals.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Employee must frequently be able to remain in a stationary position. Employee must be able to move, traverse. Employees will move around the room to different workstations. The Employee must be able to position self (to), move. The employee must occasionally transport and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and push/pull/lift up to forty (40) pounds. Employees must be able to constantly bend at the waist in a repetitive motion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Worked performed by the VK MOP Operator is done in an air-conditioned environment. All individuals must wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hairnets, beard nets, and nitrile gloves

which are all provided by Contec. Personal body products that must not be worn in this cell is jewelry of any kind.
