Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Kansas City is seeking a Vivarium Support Technician (cage wash) to join the Integrated Toxicology team, ensuring clean housing and care for laboratory animals and assisting with study material preparation.

The pay is $19 USD/hour, with opportunities to contribute to fast, compliant preclinical work at a state-of-the-art facility and grow within a leading CRO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• No experience required.
• Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and extra shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize animal cages and related environmental items.
• Operate and maintain automated cage wash machines.
• Prepare housing for new animals and assist with receiving animals.
• Report equipment repair needs to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean cage wash area and storage area.
