Job summary

Washington County Public Health Division within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is recruiting for a Limited Duration Senior Administrative Specialist to join the Vital Records team. This role leads certified records management for births and deaths and must become a Deputy Registrar within 30 days.

The position includes supervising staff and backing up the Environmental Health function, with a tentative end date of 6/30/2027. In-person work only.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent and four years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical experience.
• Criminal background check post offer required.

Responsibilities

• Lead expert for certified vital records after original filing.
• Supervise administrative staff and provide coverage for related roles.
• Access to state birth and death records as Deputy Registrar within 30 days.
