Job summary

Dickinson College is seeking a Visual Media professional for the Office of Marketing and Communications. The role centers on photography as the core storytelling tool, capturing events, portraits, campus life, and branding imagery for digital and print channels.

You will contribute to video productions, stay ahead of digital trends, and develop authentic content reflecting the Dickinson experience. Occasional evenings/weekends and some travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Photography, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Portfolio that demonstrates previous professional photography and video production experience; should highlight ability to photograph events and portraits, plus professional video production.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere, Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Ability for some travel.
• Minimum Work Experience 3–5 years.

Responsibilities

• Bring the Dickinson story to life through fresh, creative photography for the website, social media, print and digital marketing.
• Create dynamic, audience-focused social media content that sparks interest, encourages sharing, and strengthens brand visibility.
• Plan and deliver compelling photographic coverage of campus events and activities, including select evening and weekend assignments.
• Lend creative and technical experience in the development and production of high-quality video productions.
• Mentor and collaborate with student workers and social media ambassadors to brainstorm, test, and create content that feels authentic to the Dickinson student experience while building community.
