Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a Multimedia Specialist within the Community Relations Department to create video, photography, motion graphics, and digital content that informs and inspires residents.

You will develop campaigns across social media and City channels, produce both short-form reels and long-form content, and collaborate with the Public Information team on emergency communications and outreach.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating photography, videography, editing, and storytelling.
• Experience with social media campaigns and campaigns across platforms.
• Portfolio should include formats across social, events, and branded content.
• Live video production or streaming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit promotional, educational, and documentary videos.
• Produce short-form vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Capture interviews with proper lighting, audio, and gear.
• Create graphics for social media, presentations, and marketing campaigns.
• Assist with live event coverage and emergency communications visuals.
• Maintain organized digital asset management and licensing compliance.
