Overview
As a Visual Merchandising Associate at Wayfair, you’ll help bring our brand to life, one perfectly placed product at a time. You’ll support seasonal floorsets, signage updates, and daily visual upkeep to create a clean, inspiring, and on‑brand shopping experience. Reporting to the Visual Merchandising Manager, you’ll be a key player in ensuring every corner of the store looks polished, feels welcoming, and tells a cohesive product story. Responsibilities
- Execute Visual Standards: Support the execution of visual floorsets, maintain accurate signage, and help with daily visual upkeep like folding, steaming, bed‑making, and keeping the store looking its best.
- Maintain Presentation Excellence: Make real‑time adjustments to displays based on direction from store leaders and visual guides, ensuring everything aligns with brand standards and looks great for guests.
- Support Merchandise Flow: Replenish the sales floor with key items and ensure displays stay full, shoppable, and aligned with current promotions.
- Use Visual Tools with Confidence: Use store tech and visual merchandising tools to complete daily tasks, reference floorset plans, and maintain presentation consistency.
- Engage with Guests: Provide helpful, friendly service while assisting with questions, guiding guests through product stories, or helping with wayfinding and availability.
- Be a Team Player: Collaborate with store leadership and cross‑functional teams to prioritize store needs, adapt to business shifts, and keep our space guest‑ready.
- Welcome Feedback: Take coaching in stride, implement visual direction with precision, and stay eager to learn and grow in the role.

Qualifications
- Retail visual experience: 1–3 years supporting visual merchandising, department resets, or store presentation (required).
- Customer‑facing experience: 1–3 years in a retail or service role engaging directly with guests (preferred).
- Tech confidence: Comfortable navigating store technology and visual tools, ready to learn new platforms.
- Schedule flexibility: Willing to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Eye for detail: Notice what others might miss and take pride in executing tasks with care and consistency.
- Adaptability & professionalism: Stay calm under pressure, adapt to change, and represent Wayfair with warmth, professionalism, and a guest‑first mindset.
Additional Physical And Environmental Requirements
- Physical activity: Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and crawling.
- Mobility & movement: Frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the day.
- Lifting ability: Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs independently on a regular basis. Some projects may involve heavier items, which must be managed with proper assistance or equipment.
- Vision requirements: Includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Temperature flexibility: Comfortable in environments with varying temperature conditions.
