Job summary

American Girl is seeking a Visual Merchandiser for our NY Flagship. You will lead in-store displays, launches, and seasonal floor sets, ensuring high visual standards and timely execution.

Based at the NY location, you’ll collaborate with the Visual Manager, store team, and partners to deliver engaging experiences, while maintaining knowledge of products and brand guidelines. This role requires independent work and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of successful work experience in retail merchandising or related field.
• Knowledge of general visual principles with emphasis on construction and detail.
• Manual skills in doll styling, straight blade cutting, and minor assembly.
• Ability to lift and push at least 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Visual Leadership Team in display window changes, merchandise changes and planogram layouts.
• Create dynamic displays using dolls and complementary product; maintain product knowledge.
• Prioritize tasks based on business needs and handle product availability issues.
• Maintain store visual and merchandising standards consistent with brand vision.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, management, and partners.
