Job summary

American Girl in Chicago seeks a Visual Merchandiser to manage new product launches, seasonal floor sets, and daily display maintenance at the flagship store. You will work under the Visual Manager to ensure high visual standards across all displays and events.

You will collaborate with store teams, update planograms, and create engaging displays using dolls and related products, while keeping up with product knowledge and customer service needs.

Qualifications

• 1 - 2 years of successful work experience in retail merchandising.
• Knowledge of general visual principles with attention to detail.
• Manual skills in doll styling, straight blade cutting, and minor assembly.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to lift and push at least 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Visual Leadership in display window changes, merchandise and planogram layouts.
• Create dynamic displays using dolls and related products; stay current on product knowledge.
• Prioritize tasks based on business needs and handle stock availability issues.
• Maintain store visual and merchandising standards aligned with brand vision.
• Foster positive relationships with staff and customers; assist as needed.
• Stock merchandise when required.
