Job summary

Target is looking for a Visual Merchandiser to ensure compelling visual moments that meet company guidelines and ISM standards. You will drive sales by curating mannequin styling, mapping, fixture blocking, and in-store marketing across the store.

The role emphasizes teamwork, training teammates, and leading store-wide visual strategy to enhance guest experiences. We offer training and opportunities to develop skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 to 2 years of visual merchandising experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Business acumen and creativity to inspire guests and drive sales.
• Strong understanding of trend and style reflective of our brand.
• Lead and influence store teams to follow processes supporting visual merchandising.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners and other tech.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily/weekly visual workload with leader guidance to include sales goals, events, and promotions.
• Execute weekly visual assessments and partner with leaders to improve store visual execution and guest experience.
• Assess and guide the execution of visual standards across the total store to elevate visuals.
• Support execution of the company Visual Merchandising strategy and ISM across store areas.
• Support and validate all visual presentations in the store with leaders.
• Set overhead spotlights to highlight key merchandising presentations.
• Adjust sets to create inspiring visual moments and maintain standards.
• Leverage daily interactions to teach visual standards and affordability strategy.
• Maintain backroom organization and signing tools/fixtures; manage ISM elements.
• Support onboarding and continuous learning; close knowledge gaps through training.
