Job summary

Databento is seeking a hands-on visual designer to bring our brand to life across web, digital, and print. You will own projects from brief to final delivery, translating complex financial concepts into clear visuals and scalable design systems.

You will collaborate with growth and product design teams to develop concepts for websites, campaigns, events, and collateral, while ensuring accessibility and high craft across formats. Remote-friendly, full-time, worldwide teams.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft in typography, layout, color, and hierarchy.
• Typically 3+ years of experience in visual, marketing, or brand design.
• Experience designing responsive web pages for desktop and mobile.
• Understanding of web UX principles.
• Experience designing across digital and print formats.
• Experience with extending and evolving design systems.

• Design responsive pages for Databento's marketing website, focusing on usability, visual hierarchy, and conversion.

Job description

We're looking for a visual designer to bring Databento's brand to life across web, digital, and print. You'll create compelling visual experiences across projects ranging from website design and marketing campaigns to event materials and other branded assets.

This is a hands‑on role for a designer who cares deeply about visual craft and enjoys working across a variety of formats. You'll own projects from concept through production, partnering with our growth and product design teams to translate technical concepts into clear, effective visuals.

The role offers meaningful opportunities to shape Databento's visual identity and influence our creative processes. We're open to designers at different stages of their careers and will match the role's level to your experience and skills.

Requirements

• A portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft in typography, layout, composition, color, and hierarchy.
• Typically 3+ years of experience in visual, marketing, or brand design. We weigh your portfolio more heavily than your years of experience.
• Experience designing responsive web pages for desktop and mobile.
• Understanding of web UX principles.
• Experience designing across digital and print formats.
• Experience with extending and evolving design systems.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, communicate design decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice‑to‑haves

• Experience designing for B2B SaaS, developer tools, fintech, or other technical products.Experience at a high‑growth startup or creative agency.
• Experience with motion graphics, animation, or video editing.
• Familiarity with web accessibility, A/B testing, and conversion analytics.
• Experience preparing print-ready files and coordinating with print vendors, particularly for event signage and collateral.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS.
• Interest in exploring AI-assisted tools to improve design workflows and production efficiency.
• Interest in financial markets or market data.

The base salary range for this role is $95,000-$185,000, benchmarked to Tier1 locations in each country. Total compensation may also include bonuses, commissions, and equity, depending on the role.
