Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) invites passionate educators to join our mission-driven team as adjunct faculty in Visual Arts. You will prepare and teach transfer and career-technical courses, on campus and via Canvas, within a collaborative, inclusive environment.

The role requires delivering courses such as Art Appreciation, Art History, Drawing, Two-/Three-Dimensional Design, Painting, and related subjects, while developing learner-centered lessons and integrating current

Qualifications

Must have experience teaching visual arts or art history at the post-secondary level.
Master's degree or higher in art-related field required for Art Appreciation and/or studio art courses.
Advanced credentials or licensures as required by program or accreditation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and teach departmental courses including Art Appreciation, Art History, Drawing, Design, Painting, and related subjects.
Develop learner-centered lesson plans and employ diverse teaching strategies.
Incorporate current technology for classroom, online, and hybrid learning environments.
Create and maintain a supportive learning environment for a diverse student population.
Assess student learning outcomes and maintain accurate student records.
