Job summary
AmeriCorps VISTA at the University of Nebraska Omaha invites you to a full-time, 12-month service role focused on expanding student success through stronger operations, sustainability, and strategic planning. You will help transition the Maverick Food Pantry inventory and guest management systems, evaluate efficiencies, and craft proposals for retention initiatives.
You’ll also pursue grant opportunities to broaden institutional capacity, develop staff and student professional development plans,
Qualifications
- Eligibility for AmeriCorps VISTA requires willingness to serve full-time.
- Experience in nonprofit, education, or community programs is preferred.
- Strong communication, grant-writing, and data-focused planning are expected.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen UNO's capacity to support student success via operations and planning.
- Improve inventory and guest management systems for food pantry and programs.
- Evaluate efficiencies and develop proposals for retention initiatives.
- Identify grant opportunities to sustain long-term program impact.
