Job summary

We Strive for Literacy (WSFL) is building the Vista Literacy Collaborative to connect schools, families, community organizations, volunteers, and funders for timely literacy support to low-income children. AmeriCorps VISTA members create systems, tools, relationships, and documented practices that endure after their service year.

Members serve from WSFL’s Vista office as part of a three-person VISTA team, with structured supervision, coaching, and professional development support to strengthen

Qualifications

• Commitment to service and capacity-building.
• Ability to assess partners and develop tools for collaboration.
• Experience in engaging diverse community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build the partnership and family-access infrastructure.
• Assess current partners, referral practices, barriers, and resources; create a partner map and pipeline.
• Develop and pilot outreach, meeting, and follow-up tools; facilitate staff coordination.
• Evaluate systems, train designated users, and contribute tools and lessons learned to replication toolkit.
