Job summary

Naples Botanical Garden Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Visitor Services Associate to greet guests, manage the Visitor Center, and support sales of Garden memberships.

The role requires weekend, night, and holiday availability, with a friendly, professional presence and the ability to handle basic POS transactions. As a frontline position, you will work with staff, volunteers, and visitors, providing information about events, exhibitions, and day-to-day Garden operations.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills a plus.
• Flexible schedule with weekends, nights and holidays.
• Fluency in Spanish and/or Kreyol is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 10 pounds.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming members and guests promptly and warmly.
• Be present for dog admission days when required.
• Check in or greet visitors outside ticketing booths as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Operate a POS system and balance daily.
• Review Garden operations and events; share updates with visitors.
• Promote Naples Botanical Garden memberships.
• Open/close Visitor Center per schedule.

Position Summary: This seasonal position serves as the frontline to customer relations at Naples Botanical Garden. In addition to the public, this position works closely with Garden staff, volunteers, and fellow associates.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets incoming members and guests in a prompt and welcoming manner.
• Must be willing to be in the presence of dogs on our dog admission days.
• Occasionally may be asked to check in or greet visitors outside of ticketing booths.
• Always maintain a professional appearance and professional conduct.
• Efficiently and accurately operates a POS system, which includes daily balancing.
• Reviews and understands the Garden’s day-to-day operations, special events, website, and exhibitions by reviewing Visitor Services resources and Garden calendars daily. Proactively relays this information to visitors.
• Promotes and sells Naples Botanical Garden Memberships.
• Follows proper procedures for opening and closing the Visitor Center when scheduled.
• Maintains the appearance of the Visitor Center, which includes stocking maps, and brochures. As well as cleaning scooters and wheelchairs.
• Other duties as assigned.
