Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Services in Ashburn, VA. You will safeguard clients across government and education locations, patrol buildings and grounds, deter incidents, and provide excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.

Job includes day shifts with a 07:00 start time, standard patrol duties, and strict adherence to procedures. Opportunities for training, growth, and a stable full-time role are offered by Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other members of the school community by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
