Responsibilities

• Process and credential employees, contractors, visitors, and other authorized personnel seeking access to the facility.
• Verify visitor information and ensure access requests comply with security procedures.
• Issue, maintain, recover, and inventory badges, credentials, passes, parking permits, and related items.
• Operate access control systems to create, update, and deactivate credentials.
• Enroll personnel in databases, capture photos and identifying information.
• Maintain records of visitor access, badge issuance, and credential inventories.
• Conduct audits of badges and credentials for accountability.
• Investigate lost, stolen, or unreturned credentials and coordinate actions.
• Assist visitors with directions and questions; coordinate with government personnel and sponsors.
• Support security by verifying access levels and resolving credential issues.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation per requirements.

Summary

Chenega is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Visitor Control Center (VCC) Specialist to support access control and visitor management operations at the Russell Knox Building in Quantico, Virginia.

In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring secure and efficient access to the facility. The VCC Specialist is responsible for credential management, visitor processing, identity verification, and maintaining accurate access records while providing exceptional customer service in a high-security environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and credential employees, contractors, visitors, and other authorized personnel seeking access to the facility.
• Verify visitor information and ensure all access requests comply with established security procedures and facility requirements.
• Issue, maintain, recover, and inventory identification badges, access credentials, visitor passes, parking permits, and other controlled items.
• Operate access control and security management systems to create, update, modify, and deactivate credentials.
• Enroll and remove personnel from facility access databases and credentialing systems, including capturing photographs, fingerprints, and other required identifying information.
• Maintain accurate records related to visitor access, badge issuance, credential inventories, and access authorization requests.
• Conduct routine audits and inventories of badges and credentials to ensure proper accountability.
• Investigate and document lost, stolen, or unreturned credentials and coordinate appropriate notifications and corrective actions.
• Assist visitors by providing directions, answering questions, and coordinating with government personnel and visitor sponsors.
• Support security personnel by verifying access levels and resolving credential-related issues.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation in accordance with facility requirements.
• Protect sensitive personal information and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with all security protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in security, access control, visitor management, customer service, administrative support, or a related field.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and security-focused environment.
• Successfully pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Visitor Control Center, Security Operations Center, access control office, or similar environment.
• Familiarity with DBIDS, access control systems, badging systems, or visitor management platforms.
• Experience supporting federal government or Department of Defense facilities.
