Job summary

Chenega is seeking a Visitor Control Center Specialist to support access control and visitor management at the Russell Knox Building in Quantico, Virginia.

You will handle credentialing, verification, and recordkeeping while delivering excellent customer service in a high-security environment. This role requires TS/SCI clearance, attention to detail, and the ability to work under strict security protocols. You will collaborate with government personnel and sponsors to ensure secure access.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
• 1 year of experience in security, access control, or visitor management
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail and discretion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced security-focused environment
• Background and drug screening clearance

Responsibilities

• Process credentials for employees, contractors, visitors seeking access.
• Verify visitor information and ensure compliance with security procedures.
• Issue, maintain, recover, and inventory badges, access credentials, passes, and permits.
• Operate access control and credentialing systems to create/update/deactivate credentials.
• Enroll/remove personnel from access databases, including photos and IDs.
• Maintain records related to visitor access and credential inventories.
• Conduct routine audits of badges and credentials for accountability.
• Investigate and document lost/stolen/unreturned credentials and notify accordingly.
• Assist visitors with directions and questions, coordinating with sponsors.
• Support security personnel by verifying access levels and resolving issues.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation per facility requirements.
• Protect sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while following security protocols.
• Other duties as assigned
