Job summary

The Senior Center Assistant at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary supports Blair Visitor Center operations, including admissions, the Nature Store, and Rooney Cafe sales, with a focus on welcoming visitors and providing information about the sanctuary.

This is a full-time, on-site role (40 hours/week) with typically 7:30 am–5:30 pm shifts and potential seasonal variation. Compensation ranges from $23.00 to $24.50 per hour, with strong emphasis on safety and guest experience.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 0-1 years of experience acceptable.
• Commitment to inclusivity and Audubon mission.
• Experience in customer service, retail, or administrative support is valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to visitors, members, and guests.
• Support Blair Visitor Center retail, food service, and admissions operations.
• Process cash and credit transactions and reconcile daily deposits.
• Promote, sell, and renew memberships.
• Assist with events and boardwalk/Center operations.
