The Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia invites applications for an open-rank, non-tenure-accruing faculty position in public policy, on the teaching track, with a focus on leadership. Rank will be determined by candidate qualifications.

The appointment is expected to begin in Fall 2027. We welcome applications from scholars who have earned or are on track to earn a terminal degree in social psychology or behavioral science, organizational behavior /

Qualifications

• PhD (or on track) in social psychology, behavioral science, organizational behavior/management, public policy, quantitative social sciences, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; oversee and contribute to curriculum development and experiential learning.
• Teach six 3.0-credit courses per year; five are semester-long and the sixth may be short courses or workshops.
