Alabama A&M University invites applications for a visiting faculty position in Education Administration within the Department of Teacher Education and Leadership. This nine-month, non-tenure-track role is at the rank of assistant or associate professor, with teaching and scholarly expectations in the PhD program.

The selected candidate will teach Education Administration courses, contribute to scholarship through refereed publications, advise students, and participate in college and university

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education Administration, Educational Leadership or related field.
• College or university level teaching experience.
• Candidates with a Ph.D. in a related field should have completed at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate level accounting courses.
• Demonstration of scholarly contribution through refereed journal publications and other intellectual contributions.
• Demonstration of excellence in oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Education Administration and other courses for the PhD in Curriculum and Instruction program.
• Produce scholarly research leading to publications in refereed journals.
• Advise students and engage in professional activities in the college.
• Serve on various committees in the department, college and university levels.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the College's instructional and institutional goals.
• Display excellence in teaching, intellectual contributions, effective advising, and service in the department, college and university levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
