East Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas, seeks an Open Rank Professor of Educational Leadership for a nine-month, tenure-track appointment beginning Spring 2027. Faculty are expected to maintain an active scholarly record, collaborate effectively, and contribute service to the discipline, campus, and community.

Qualifications

• Education: doctorate in educational leadership or educational administration from a regionally-accredited U.S. university.
• Experience: 3 years of K-12 teaching experience.
• Experience: 3 years as a public-school administrator.
• Experience: teaching online in higher education.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and communication.
• Commitment to high-quality instruction and student success.
• Record of scholarship or potential; strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
• Ability to multitask and work collegially as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Teach master’s and doctoral level courses in educational leadership.
• Design, conduct, and publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
• Advise students.
• Prepare syllabi.
• Update course materials.
• Develop curriculum.
• Deliver instruction online and on-site at various sites.
• Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to implement departmental programs.
• Provide service to the department, college, university, public schools, and the community.
• Chair dissertations to completion.
