Qualifications

• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Michigan.
• At least two years of professional instruction experience as a registered nurse.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred but not required.
• Genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to support students and colleagues with passion, respect and care.
• Oversee clinical training at sites in Troy, Ann Arbor, and Monroe.

Responsibilities

• Implements the college's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes and course objectives through clinical teaching.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Evaluates and provides feedback on student performance based on course objectives.
• Maintains knowledge of agency/clinical policies and expectations.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with learning needs.
• Contributes to program development and evaluation.
• May teach didactic content under supervision of the course coordinator.
• Reports to dean, assistant dean, or course coordinator.
