Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered Michigan nursing license.
• At least 2 years RN instructional experience in last 5 years.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred.
• Passion for nursing, education and lifelong learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care.
• Oversee clinical training at sites in Troy, Ann Arbor, and Monroe.

Responsibilities

• Implement the college's philosophy, curriculum and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Maintain visibility with staff at agencies and assist with remediation as needed.
• Orient staff to agency policies and update assignments to match learning needs.
• Develop and post clinical assignments aligned with student knowledge and skill level.
• Provide timely feedback on homework, quizzes, tests and clinical work.
• Contribute to program development, implementation and assessment.
• May teach didactic content under supervision and coordinate with course leaders.
