Job summary

DeVry University’s Advantage Academy seeks an experienced instructor to teach high school courses, develop syllabi, and align assessments with terminal objectives. You will responsibly integrate AI into teaching to enhance learning while meeting accreditation standards.

Responsibilities include designing lessons, organizing materials, delivering engaging instruction, and providing timely feedback. Masters required; strong communication and instructional technology skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught.
• Official graduate transcripts must be uploaded.
• Degree must be from an institution accredited by a recognized agency.
• Other requirements may apply based on state licensing or accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to DeVry University's Advantage Academy high school population.
• Teach assigned courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements.
• Develop course syllabi and lesson plans.
• Apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives.
• Develop and provide approved course syllabi with terminal course objectives.
• Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials.
• Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions.
• Model effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning.
• Set course expectations, objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting.
• Ensure examinations align with course terminal objectives.
• Prepare and grade examinations consistently and fairly.
• Provide timely feedback to students.
• Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning.
• Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools.
• Complete other duties as assigned
