The College of New Jersey invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, starting Spring 2027. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D.

in Chemistry or a closely related field and has teaching experience across introductory and advanced courses, with a commitment to active-learning pedagogy in both lectures and labs. Teaching responsibilities include General Chemistry and courses such as Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Thermodynamics,

Qualificações

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field with teaching experience in foundational and advanced chemistry courses.
• Commitment to high-quality teaching and mentorship of undergraduate students using active-learning approaches.
• Interest in developing innovative pedagogy and contributing to laboratory instruction that emphasizes inquiry-based learning.

Responsabilidades

• Teach General Chemistry and multiple other courses such as Organic, Analytical, Biochemistry, Thermodynamics, or GOB for nursing students.
• Occasional evening course sections and upper-level courses in collaboration with the department.
• Engage in departmental activities, committees, and student mentoring.
