Coastal Carolina University is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Operations Management to contribute to their E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. The role requires a commitment to teaching excellence and the ability to engage students through innovative course delivery methods. Visiting Assistant Professor of Operations Management
The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Operations in the Department of Management and Decision Sciences beginning Fall 2025. This is a nine-month appointment for the 2025-2026 academic year.
To be considered, candidates should possess a Ph.D. in management or hold A.B.D. status from an AACSB-accredited program in management, with a specialization supportive of operations management. The Department of Management also values candidates with industry experience and community engagement. The ideal candidate would also have a track record of community engagement that can create value for the department and for student learning experiences.
The teaching load is four courses per academic semester, and may include face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online deliveries. It is expected that the individual chosen for this position will possess a commitment to teaching excellence, a commitment to involvement in service to the profession, excellent communication skills, and effective teamwork skills.
Accredited by AACSB International, the Wall College of Business serves more than 3000 graduate and undergraduate students. The college offers undergraduate majors in six disciplines (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Hospitality, Resort and Tourism Management), as well as MBA and MAcc graduate programs. The Wall College of Business has a WRDS platform with access to CRSP, Compustat and access to Datastream to support quality scholarship and teaching. The Department of Management and Decision Sciences houses a major in management with concentration options in entrepreneurial management, human resource management, international management, operations and supply chain management, and organizational leadership. The management major is the largest at the University, with enrollment of over 1,000 students. The department also supports the MBA program and the business core curriculum.
