Job summary

LSU New Orleans invites applications for a 1-year, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position in Teacher Education with expertise in math and/or science methods. Additional duties include curriculum and institutional effectiveness management, recruitment, community outreach, and service on committees to support the program and university goals.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or other terminal degree in Teacher Education or a related field.
• Evidence of successful K12 teaching experience in math or science.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in teacher education.
• Supervise Resident Teachers in school placements.
• Support curriculum, program coordination, and institutional effectiveness.
• Participate in recruitment and community outreach and serve on program/college/university committees.
