General Information:
The Department of Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics (CIS & BSAN) is seeking applicants for a one-year visiting Assistant Professor appointment beginning in the Fall of 2025. The department emphasizes undergraduate programs that include hands-on projects, laboratory exercises, and engaging classroom experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary teaching responsibility will be delivering undergraduate courses in business analytics, focusing on topics such as business statistics, decision analysis, and management science, using computational tools like Excel, Python, or R. The teaching load is 3/3. The successful candidate will also engage in academic and community service.
Qualifications:
Minimum/Required: A doctorate in business analytics, decision sciences, management science, operations research, industrial engineering, or a closely related field is required by the date of appointment. Candidates must demonstrate potential for scholarly work and teaching excellence in business analytics.
Preferred: Special consideration will be given to candidates with teaching, research, and/or professional experience in developing and applying analytics solutions in business contexts.
