James Madison University’s Department of Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics (CIS & BSAN) is seeking applicants for a one-year visiting Assistant Professor appointment beginning in Fall 2025.
The department, part of the College of Business, has 25 full-time faculty members, over 600 CIS majors, and supports undergraduate programs with hands-on projects, laboratory exercises, and case analyses. The CIS program is accredited by ABET and holds both AACSB and ABET accreditations.
The primary responsibility is teaching undergraduate courses in business analytics, including topics like business statistics, decision analysis, and management science, utilizing tools such as Excel, Python, or R.
