Job summary

Pasco County is seeking a visionary Transportation Engineering Director to lead the Transportation Engineering Department. This high-responsibility role manages a ~75-person team, guides capital projects, and coordinates with the Pasco County MPO, FDOT, and other agencies to deliver transportation solutions.

The Director reports to the Assistant County Administrator for Public Infrastructure and directs budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Ten years of experience in transportation infrastructure planning, design, and construction.
• Five years of supervisory experience leading a team of professionals.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, directs, and manages the personnel of the Transportation Engineering Department; provides training.
