Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) seeks a transformative Chief Executive Officer to implement Board policy and oversee RTD’s complex, multi-modal operations. The CEO will unify the agency with a shared vision, strengthen community and government relationships, and lead a public-facing, customer-centric transit network.

The role demands strong financial management, strategic leadership, and a track record of building trust through transparent, inclusive leadership and innovative problem

Qualifications

Ten years of management experience with at least five years in executive leadership.
Experience leading organizations with union and non-union employees is highly desired.
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree highly desired.

Responsibilities

Lead and implement policy set by the Board for RTD’s daily operations.
Unify the agency with a common vision and messaging to customers.
Build partnerships with local, regional, state officials and stakeholders.
Publicly represent RTD and communicate priorities to media and public.
Oversee marketing, public outreach, and brand positivity.
Foster diversity, equity, inclusion and a collaborative culture.
Attract, mentor and empower high-performing C-level staff.
