Job summary

Villanova University’s M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing seeks an Associate Dean for the Graduate Program to provide strategic and visionary leadership for the graduate nursing program.

The role reports to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and collaborates with the Dean and college leadership to advance curriculum, accreditation, student success, and program sustainability. The Associate Dean will foster academic excellence, develop partnerships, and lead initiatives in enrollment

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Nursing or related discipline is required.
• Master’s in nursing is required.
• Eligibility for RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Eligibility for tenure at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
• Minimum of seven years’ of demonstrated academic administration experience or other significant academic/educational nursing leadership experience.
• Teaching experience at the graduate level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, design, and implementation of graduate program curriculum to meet accreditation standards and drive innovation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, certification, and accreditation requirements for graduate nursing programs.
• Conduct and address course, student, and faculty evaluations; oversee program evaluation.
• Mentor faculty in teaching, research, and service; plan workload and teaching assignments with program directors.
• Develop, review, and oversee academic policies in collaboration with the Dean and faculty; promote diversity in recruitment and retention.
