Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the CEO of the community. Qualifications

• Meets all current requirements of the State Department of Social Services Standards and Regulations for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities.
• Two years’ post-secondary education required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory role in senior housing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Warm, outgoing and compassionate personality.
• Integrity, maturity and leadership skills.
• Understanding of State Department of Social Services Standards and Regulations.
• Acceptable driving record (required driver).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the general well-being and health of residents in the community.
• Coordinate care and services to residents, including oversight of nursing and care staff.
• Model the organization’s core values in interactions and operations.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
• Reward top performers and coach others to improve.
• Responsible for paperwork required by DSS, Health Department and corporate regulations.
• Participate in direct marketing in and around the community for residents and staff recruitment.
• Act as the responsible party before, during, and after licensing inspections.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle.
