Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Williamsburg, VA seeks an Executive Director who acts as the community's CEO, guiding planning, direction and policies while ensuring efficient administration of the business plan and occupancy goals.

You will hire, train and schedule staff, drive resident satisfaction, coordinate care and services, and uphold the company values in all activities across the community.

Qualifications

• Meets all current requirements of the State Department of Social Services Standards and Regulations, and amendments.
• Two years’ post-secondary education required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory role in senior housing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Warm, outgoing and compassionate personality.
• Demonstrated integrity, maturity and leadership skills.
• Understanding of State Department of Social Services Standards and Regulations.
• Acceptable driving record with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the general well-being and health of residents in the community.
• Coordinate the care and services to residents, overseeing nursing and care staff.
• Model the organization’s core values in interactions with the community.
• Ensure staffing is appropriate at all times with the right personnel.
• Actively seek top performers and coach others to improve.
• Handle all paperwork required by DSS, Health Department and corporate regulations.
• Participate in direct marketing around the community for residents and staff recruitment.
• Act as responsible party before, during, and after licensing inspections.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle.
